Ayan Acharyya is a Kolkata-based visual artist, motion designer, indie filmmaker, and the founder of Applita, a multidisciplinary creative studio that blends motion graphics, visual storytelling, advertising, animation, and independent cinema under one cohesive vision.
With a career spanning over 15 years, Ayan has collaborated with more than 300 global brands and creative teams across the US, UK, Norway, and beyond, delivering premium motion design, compelling visuals, and narrative-driven campaigns for a worldwide audience.
He started his journey with some of India’s top media and entertainment organizations, including Ramoji Film City (Hyderabad), Technicolor and Gameberry Labs (Bangalore), Media Factory (Mumbai), and Aptech (Kolkata). Building on this strong professional base, Ayan spent the next five years working directly with international clients from the US and UK, shaping visual identities and crafting design-led solutions for global markets.
These experiences laid the groundwork for the launch of Applita, envisioned as a creative space where design, storytelling, and innovation intersect. Today, the studio produces cinematic ad films, cutting-edge motion design, animation, VFX, branding, and more, serving clients across borders with a commitment to clarity, style, and originality.
Outside the commercial sphere, Ayan devotes himself to independent filmmaking as a form of artistic expression. His creative mission is not rooted in box office ambitions or traditional industry competition but in the pursuit of meaningful, culturally resonant cinema. Under the Applita umbrella, he continues to build a platform where film and design coexist, driven by freedom, depth, and a global artistic perspective.
